“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
In Calvary’s strategy of being a church “For God. For Dothan. For the World.” We believe doing life together as adults is what God intends. The first Christians give us an example of Adult Ministry in the verses above.
Adult Ministry is less about doing ministry to Adults and more about ministry or service by Adults. We want to pray together, meet together, learn together, worship together, meet needs together, suffer together, and serve together.
In a practical sense, Life Groups, made up Adults who share a common mission, meet on Sundays at 9:15 to do life together and to strategize how they are going to accomplish the mission God has placed on their hearts.
A list of Life Groups can be found here. You are welcome to drop in on any of our groups any Sunday at 9:15. If you need more information, call Angie Tice in the church office or email her: firstname.lastname@example.org
