Disciple-Making Strategy

Calvary Purpose Statement: We exist to glorify God by making disciples who transform our city and our world.

Our strategy for making disciples includes three inter-dependent circles; Corporate Worship, Life Groups, and Life-On-Life relationships. We expect every Calvary member to actively participate in all three "circles" in a biblical, God-honoring way. The result is the central position within the three circles- a disciple-making disciple!

Before we get ahead of ourselves, let's look at a few important definitions:

Disciple: A person who is becoming more and more like Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Discipleship: Intentionally equipping believers with the Word of God through accountable relationships that are empowering by the Holy Spirit in order to replicate faithful followers of Christ.
Corporate Worship: The gathering of God's people centered on the Word of God for the worship of God.
Life Groups: A biblical community for the purpose of loving support, the assimilation of new members, and the application of truth.
Life-On-Life: Intentional relationships centered on the Word of God and prayer in the context of accountability where the Christ-life is explained and modeled.
Calvary Discipleship Pathway: A tool disciple-makers can use to discern the spiritual condition of a person in an effort to influence that person to move along the pathway from unbeliever to a disciple-making disciple.
