The most crucial aspect of a person's life is making a connection with Jesus Christ and a connection with His people. This is the heartbeat of our adult ministry -to help people make “The Connection” -The connection to Him & the connection to His people. The Adult Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church is focused on investing in people’s lives so they, in turn, invest in others. We are designing ministry to meet the needs of each person through effective small groups and intentional outreach in order to impact the families in our community.
Our small groups meet on Sunday’s at 9:30 am and are designed to give everyone an opportunity to strengthen their relationship with Christ and develop a strong bond with adults in their age group. Our plan is to inspire, encourage and minister to each person as we teach and motivate them to apply God’s Word in every day life, and to create an outlet that will enable every person to plug in and use their passion to serve the Lord. Regardless of whether it is teaching, leading an evangelism team, planning fellowship opportunities, leading a mission project, ministering to those in need or organizing prayer ministry-there is a place for YOU to get involved!
Our focus on outreach is very simple- PEOPLE! We use the FAITH Sunday School evangelism strategy to reach out to our members and guests. We have teams from every class that will visit and minister to other members and guests from that same class. We equip and enable our teams to share the Gospel and minister to others as we go out on Sunday afternoons to visit. FAITH training takes place from 4-6:15pm on Sundays.
Our ministry events and discipleship groups are designed to strengthen our families by equipping and challenging the adults to lead out in a world that is so desperate for Real Leaders! We provide activities and classes that will enhance our spiritual gifts and prepare us for the future. These are constantly being added and improved for you!
The bottom line is- we are attempting to fulfill the Great Commission by Going and Making Disciples. We want people to know that the Church that Jesus built does not have walls!
