The Calvary Family of Faith Weekly Bulletin is Getting Update

The Calvary Family of Faith
Weekly Bulletin Is Getting an Update
? Updated Look
? Improved Communication
? Faster Delivery
? Substantial Savings to the Church
? Changes Begin in July
Be sure to let the Church Office know how you want to receive your bulletin. If you do not notify the Church Office by Monday, June 28, how you want to continue to receive the bulletin, the bulletin will not be mailed to you.
As part of our efforts to update our weekly bulletin, improve communication and be better stewards of our finances, we are changing the format of the bulletin and will begin loading the bulletin on the website each week and emailing a link to the bulletin to those who have email beginning in July. The bulletin will still be mailed to those who do not have access to a computer.
By receiving the bulletin through email, it will be delivered to you a couple of days sooner and the church will save a considerable amount on printing costs and postage expenses.
Please check below the option that you need and turn in to the Church Office or in the offering plate this Sunday or email caren@calvarydothan.com.Recipients of the bulletin who are out of the Dothan area are asked to access the bulletin through the website, www.calvarydothan.com. If you would like to be notified by email when the bulletin is available, please let Caren Coleson know, caren@calvarydothan.com.

ARE YOU READING?...
Okay, have you opened or reopened Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life subtitled "What on Earth am I Here For?" As our Father continues to lead, we will explore purpose number one, "You Were Planned for God's Pleasure," sub-subject "WORSHIP," together at both Worship Celebrations this coming Sunday morning. The more faithful you are in participation the more likely it will be that you will be one of the ones who gets it quickly and will be better equipped to live it out daily to help make that radical eternal difference.
ARE YOU LISTENING?...
A whole lot of conversations begin right now concerning exactly how hot and humid the weather outside is. With the daily weather channel reports of the temperature almost touching and touching one hundred and the afternoon and early evening sky juice falling, it is uncomfortable away from our well working central air conditioners.
Did you know that some of our awesome students and pastoral staff gladly volunteered to take the Savior outside the walls of our cool campus on the road to share the good news with others this past week? These spiritual warriors helped make an eternal, radical difference because twelve precious individuals prayed the sinners prayer and became members of God's family. Praise God from whom all blessings flow and give Him honor and glory.
ARE YOU GETTING READY?...
Our annual WOW! Worship Celebrations in August have an added dimension this year under the theme "Great Family Reunion" to launch our churchwide "Come Home" visiting every Life Connection Group member face-to-face, in home effort on Sunday afternoons or Wednesdays evening. Folks, we absolutely must convey to our whole dear family fellowship that they are not only valuable to Jehovah but also valued and wanted by us. This is just one small method that we have committed to and show that indeed we are different to make a difference. Why, exactly, does your pastor think that this is necessary? Way back when ole Dolph Briscoe was governor of Texas, he appointed three individuals to become judges who were literally just a little bit dead and buried. We have some precious members that need a special touch that can spark a new spiritual energy of life and excitement. You personally can really help make a special difference by your touch of interest. Let us all join in unity to help.
ARE YOU A FAMILY MEMBER?...
Our concerned, dedicated staff continues to faithfully meet as well as plan a totally new approach to helping equip all of our dear families at various life stages to successfully tread the challenging waters of life today from preparing for parenthood to handling the basic challenges of end of life issues and all passages in between. Our heart is to put tools in your hands and help you personally, effectively use these tools to have a much healthier family dynamic. We are always a product in process and have a heart to be much more functional families. Ask Yahweh to totally open our eyes and souls to the greatest material that is available as well as to inspire us to use our own healthy life experiences to encourage others.
Your pastor,
Van

Music Ministry

Rhonda and I would like to thank you once again for being such a loving and caring family. Your love, support, care and attendance at Allison and Joseph’s wedding was overwhelming. You are such a blessing and we praise the Lord for you each and every day. It was a great day of worship and celebration and we are honored to call you “our family."
Make sure that you are a part of our annual God and Country service on Sunday, July 4. It will be another day of blessing and praise. Make sure you invite someone to come and share it with you. We will have our regular service times of 8:15 and 10:45.

Preschool Ministry

Usually after VBS is over I kind of get just a little depressed. I love people and I love seeing this campus "alive" with people and children, starting and ending our day with praising the Lord. Well, this year it was different. This year, I had the honor of working with the Backyard Bible Club group at Laurel Oaks. At the end of the week, my perspective was different. I was left feeling humbled and very thankful for the family that I have and how God has blessed us. These children's stories and struggles will tug at your heart. Thank you, Calvary family of faith, for a great week of VBS and Backyard Bible Club. It is a blessing to serve alongside you as we seek to minister to our community.

Thank you to all senior adults who attended VBS this year. Thank you to Crawford Drake for teaching us God’s truths each day. Someone asked me if you ever get too old to attend VBS? My answer will always be that you never get too old for the fun that you can have at VBS. Senior adults, thank you for always bringing a smile to my face when I think of you. If you missed VBS this year, go on and mark you calendars for next year and let nothing keep you from missing this time together. Here are our VBS arts and crafts winners for 2010.
